Happy HumpDay!

Half way through the week. Finally. Of course tomorrow is my Friday so yay me!! I’ll take a 4 day weekend, especially one that I’m not sick for.

I had a busy day again, since I had to go to Cape May New Jersey. Nothing like a long car ride just sitting to really stiffen me up. Ugh. So I hobbled around the base and would have walked more, but the wind was just too much.

I did score an awesome find at the exchange there though!

A bib for my future niece/nephew. Isn’t it the cutest thing ever! As much as I have no desire to have kids of my own. I cannot wait to spoil this kid rotten.

This morning I did day 3 of 21 day fix. Lower Body Fix. I really really liked this one. I’ll like it even more once my knee is 100% though.

I almost skipped my run today. I my foot hurt really bad, it usually is worse when it gets cold suddenly and today was no different. I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t.

I ended up running 3.75 miles and noticed that my foot pain went away within a mile. I don’t know if it’s a combo of the soreness from new workouts and the 3 day refresh or what but my legs feel so heavy. I think this happened last year about this time before my race, so maybe this is my body’s way of conserving energy. More likely it’s in my head. My run overall was great.  The sun was shining and it almost canceled out the annoying wind.

I saw what I hope is the last bit of snow for at least 9 months.

so long snow!!!

I like the lake I ran at because there’s a  lane designated for bikers and walkers so I have somewhere to be. Plus Moorestown has such a cool Main Street. It’s quaint and people are very polite. I’ve had people back up just so I could cross the road. One time when I was trying to figure out where I was someone actually stopped to see if I was ok. In all the years I’ve been running this is the only place I’ve had that happen. So I don’t care what people say about New Jersey…..it’s not nearly as bad as they say.

Tonight I have to prep my food for tomorrow. Breakfast will be steel cut oats. My favorite!! With egg whites and chia seeds for added protein. I recently converted my very skeptical mother into becoming a fan of chia seeds.

Of course this is the serving size I’ll get. I’m gonna be real honest. That’s a lot less than the amount I normally eat. Whew. Take a deep breath. This is for a good reason. I only get two of these yellow containers a day. I thought that they seemed bigger initially. Oh well. I shall survive!  Well 4 normal servings of steel cuts oats equal 7 21 Day Fix servings!

My plan is a container of this…..I added a teaspoon of agave syrup and sprinkled cinnamon. Plus 2 hard boiled eggs. I’m curious to see how this stands by me. Lunch will be Apple cucumber ginger juice and I’ve yet to decide on dinner. Wish me luck on this new adventure!

Until next time!!!
